Breakfast sausage links from pastured pigs.
1 lb.
Raw. Frozen. Keep frozen or refrigerated.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of eating pork from pasture-raised pigs, then get ready for a delightful surprise. Unlike fish oil supplements or kale smoothies, this part of your healthy lifestyle is easy to love. Pastured pork is deeper in color than grocery store pork, less prone to dryness, and far more flavorful. Once you try it, there’s no going back!
If you find that a carb-heavy breakfast gives you a big hungry-tired crash halfway through the morning, here is your answer. Fry a couple of eggs in some good fat and put them next to some pastured pork sausage links. Add some berries if you feel like it. And there you are! You’ll wake up looking forward to breakfast and stay satisfied until lunch, all while knowing you’re fueling your body with a hearty dose of nutrients.
The night
before you want sausage for breakfast—so, pretty much every
night—just pull a package from the freezer and stick it in the
fridge. In the morning, heat a skillet to medium-high, then lay in the patties and cook them until they have good stripes of brown on each side. Let them rest on a plate for about one minutes before serving.
Pigs in the pasture are some of the happiest animals in the world. They get to spend every day living their piggy dreams: rooting, munching, and napping. We supplement their wild diet of roots, nuts, and plants with a corn-free, soy-free feed mix based on peanut meal. When it’s time to harvest them, we send them to a local, state-inspected butcher for processing. For more information about our farm’s practices, check out Our Standards.
